Under its Papal Constitution, the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre is a legal entity in Canon Law:
as a Ecclesiastical Order of Knighthood it is part of the Holy See with the Pope as its Supreme Head,
 it is the only such Order recognized by the Holy See
 (the Sovereign Military Order of Malta also enjoys the patronage of the Holy See but is it own ultimate authority).

The core of the Old City of Jerusalem has a history that is believed to go back more than 3,000 years, while the great walls that encase the Old City were first built in 1538 by Suileman the Magnificent.

Immovable Ladder

The immovable ladder of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is a religious symbol of a sort, a kind of miracle possible only through human folly. It is also one of the most powerful and iconic symbols of the divisions and religious disputes within Christian World.

 

Templars Fortress

They first settled in Jerusalem, on the Temple Mount, hence their name, "the Templars", the guardians of the Temple. Following the conquest of Jerusalem by Salah Al-Din in 1187, the Templars made their home in Acre ( see map below ) and began to build their quarter in the City's southwest section.

 

MARY'S WELL

Mary’s Well is reputed to be located at the site where, according to the Catholic tradition, Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, mother of Jesus and announced that she would bear the Son of God – an event known as the Annunciation.

Range from 800 to around 2,000 years old.

One theory is : The Muslims cut down and burned the trees , leaving the vast root system intact.  The trees simply grew back, the branches are all over the time scale , range from 800 to around 2,000 years old.
